Today's Scenic Sunday Drive is in Northern California along the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway between Weed and Susanville. Once leaving Interstate 5 just south of Weed, we travel east and southeast on California Highways 89 and 44. When I was growing up in the Seattle area, we would load up in the family car and literally take a scenic Sunday drive. I remember it as great family time!
Sometimes we would drive around different communities in the Puget Sound area to see all the different homes, and sometimes we would drive up into the Cascade Mountains to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
I remember those times fondly. With that in mind, I've decided to create a series of videos I'm calling Scenic Sunday Drive.
From time to time I plan to release a scenic drive from somewhere around the country for your viewing pleasure. I don't plan to narrate these, although I may include some informational banners if appropriate.
The point is to just enjoy the scenery. So, enjoy the scenery!
Scenic Sunday Drive – Lake Shasta and Mt Shasta in Northern California
