Narrowly Avoiding Fort Leavenworth Penitentiary Twice in One Day

Sunday, August 20, 2017

After delivering paper rolls in Leavenworth, Kansas, we head back to Missouri to pick up a load of animal feed in St Joseph to haul back to Kansas to deliver at three locations tomorrow.

On the way out of Kansas across the Missouri River, we’ll pass right by Fort Leavenworth. After picking up the load and stopping for dinner, we’ll return to Leavenworth to get into position for our morning delivery.

But, before we leave Missouri, we’ll stop for dinner at a truck stop where, while walking through the parking area, we spot a cute truck passenger I had to film!

Audio Problems

As with the last couple of videos, the audio in this video is pretty bad thanks to a failing battery in my external microphone.

Microphone

I download  video files from my camera every 3-4 days, and didn’t realize that the audio was getting bad until I downloaded this batch.

Once I determined what the problem was I replaced the battery in the microphone; beginning tomorrow, the audio will be back to normal.

Delivering Animal Feed to Three Locations in Kansas

We’ve got three deliveries to make in Kansas: Lansing, Topeka and Emporia.

Oddly enough, the first delivery in Lansing is only about a half mile from the delivery we made this morning in Leavenworth.

You’ll see why we had to stop traffic to make one delivery and then make some nearly impossible maneuvering around a building at another.

After making these deliveries, we’ll had back to Topeka for our next load.
