Today’s Scenic Sunday Drive takes place in western Arizona along the Colorado River between Quartzsite, Arizona and Needles, California.
[Each Sunday I plan to release a scenic drive from somewhere around the country for your viewing pleasure. I don’t plan to narrate these, although I may include some informational banners if appropriate. The point is to just enjoy the scenery.]
Once leaving Interstate 10 at Quartzsite, we’ll travel north on Arizona Highway 95 through Parker and Lake Havasu City to Interstate 40. We’ll then travel west across the Colorado River to Needles, California.
There is a lot of beautiful scenery to see along the way; you’ll see the Colorado River and Lake Havasu, as well as a close encounter with a buzzard looking for road kill.
