In this video of my drive along the Cross Bronx Expressway to cross from New York to New Jersey over the Hudson River via the George Washington Bridge, I make the best time ever for this drive during the day.
The previous night, I delivered in Windsor, Connecticut and was on a 150 mile dead-head (no load) to get my next load in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Most of my dead-head runs are less than 100 miles, but sometimes it makes strategic sense to make a long distance dead-head for a good load, or in this case, to grab a load that goes somewhere that makes sense.
The Cross Bronx Expressway is one of the most congested stretches of freeway I’ve every traveled in the country! But today, I got lucky and made the best time ever.
I hope you enjoy this video; I recommend viewing it in full screen mode.

Let me just WOW! You did seem to make great time thru that traffic! Makes that mess that goes around DC seem like a cakewalk.
Yeah, I really got lucky this time.
