Desolate Oregon
We’ll be spending the day driving through some of the most desolate parts of the western U.S. along US Highway 95 in southwest Idaho, southeast Oregon and northern Nevada.

Driving Into California on US Highway 6
We’ve got a little more driving in desolate Nevada on US-95 remaining before we turn onto even more desolate roads and cross into California in sight of the highest point in Nevada.
Then we’ll drive south on the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountains and between Yosemite and Death Valley.
