Today’s Journey

We’re kicking off the day at the Pilot near Hesperia, California.

We’re going to head north on US Highway 395 to California Highway 58 where we’ll head west to Bakersfield.

At Bakersfield, we’ll head north on California Highway 99.

But Portland?

Can we make it to Portland by the end of the day tomorrow?

It really depends on how far we drive today. Watch and see.

Panhandlers at Truck Stops

We’ll continue our journey to Tacoma as we head north through Northern California and then into Oregon.

Even though it’s November, it’s still fairly warm in the lower elevations; however, when we take a break at a rest area near Weed, California, which is at a pretty high elevation, we’ll find out it’s too cold for shorts!
